If you have been thinking about suicide, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). It is a number that will help you. The mission of the NSPL is to provide mental health services to people who need them immediately. Callers can receive immediate help from a trained counselor at a crisis center nearest them. All calls are anonymous and confidential. Calls are routed to local centers that can direct you to an appropriate local referral network, if necessary. This list of local referral networks is compiled and distributed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The NSPL works closely with these local centers to ensure that our callers get the help they need when they need it.
